Golden Manchurian Coturnix Quail
A few facts about our breeders and eggs:
♦ These eggs are from the James Marie bloodline.
♦ We have a high fertility rate with an average 90% hatch rate at our farm.
♦ We send eggs all over the country and regularly hear of hatch rates from 70% to 80% after shipping and handling.
♦ Eggs are collected 2 times a day and put on automatic egg turners in a climate controlled room until shipping.
♦ Our eggs are clean and our breeder stock are beautiful healthy birds.
♦ We start our chicks out on a high quality, 30% protein, non medicated, game bird feed from the very beginning.
♦ Our adult breeders are fed a high quality, 26% protein, non medicated, layer and breeder game bird feed starting at around 6 weeks of age.
♦ We maintain a 1 (rooster) to 3 (hen) ratio in our breeder cages.
♦ All eggs are shipped fresh and unwashed as to maintain the protective "bloom" on the eggs. The bloom helps to prevent bacteria from getting inside the shell which reduces hatchability and prevent moisture loss from the egg.
♦ Clean, sanitary water is delivered through poultry watering cups to maintain flock health.

Please specify a range of acceptable dates in the notes section before submitting your payment. After receiving your order, we will contact you by email with a scheduled ship date. We fill orders on a first come, first served basis, so it is important to place your paid order as soon as possible to get the best chance at earlier ship dates. Typically, an order can take anywhere from 1-5 weeks to ship. Please let us know if you are willing to accept any substitutions to have a quicker ship date. Please note that during the winter months chick orders will only ship once the weather is warm enough to safely ship them. Our number one concern is that our chicks make it to you safely so please be mindful of this when placing your order.
We do not accept returns on hatching eggs or chicks.
Hatching Eggs: We can not guarantee hatch rates due to many variables beyond our control during shipping. Rough handling, x-ray machines, fluctuating temperatures, and your experience with the actual incubation process all affect your hatch rate. By ordering hatching eggs from us, you accept this responsibility. We always try to include extra eggs to cover any that the shipper may crack while in transit. Please take a picture of any cracked eggs along with the package that the eggs came in showing any and all damage and email them to us as soon as possible. We will issue a refund on any damaged eggs that exceed the amount of extra eggs we sent you.
Chicks: We guarantee that our chicks will arrive alive. If any chicks arrive deceased then please email pictures to us ASAP. We will either replace or refund, at our discretion, any deceased chicks that exceed the value of free chicks you were sent. No refund will be given for shipping.
No cancellations within 7 days of the scheduled shipping date for hatching eggs. Cancellations for chick orders must be made at least 21 days before your order is scheduled to ship. If you decide to cancel your order, please email us with your order number and the reason for cancellation. Sometimes it is necessary for Orchard Hill Poultry to cancel an order, and we reserve the right to do so. If we cancel your order, you will be issued a full refund.
The National Poultry Improvement Plan tests all of our birds semi-annually. Our NPIP certification number is GA 57-1426. If you would like to receive the USDA NPIP 9-3 form for your eggs, please indicate so on your order. The form will be emailed to you once your order ships.
